Making an Appointment

Williamstown Paediatrics is committed to providing a complete service to your child and family. This includes liason with GPs, schools, Maternal and Child Health Nurse and other health professionals as indicated. Your GP, Maternal and Child Health Nurse or School will be able to advise you regarding referral to Williamstown Paediatrics.

A Doctor’s referral is required prior to consultation with Dr. Mittal. GP referrals are generally valid for 12 months. A new referral is required after 12 months, or if you are attending for a new problem. If you do not have a valid referral you will not be able to claim from Medicare for your consultation.

Upon contacting us, our friendly reception staff will enquire briefly as to the nature of your concern to ensure an appropriate appointment is made. They will also give you some preliminary information about your appointment, fees, etc. At times, there may be a considerable wait for appointments; our receptionists will bring your appointment forward if there are cancellations.

For acute or urgent referrals, please advise your GP to contact the clinic to arrange an early appointment if possible, or directly discuss the case with us.
