Dr Riju Mittal has trained as a paediatrician in Melbourne and India. She has over 15 years paediatric experience and has a special interest in developmental and behavioural paediatrics, including Autism, Aspergers, developmental delay, and behaviour problems in young children and adolescents. She also specializes in neonatal paediatrics, feeding & sleep problems, and paediatric continence issues. As well as managing the above mentioned conditions, Dr. Mittal is happy to see children with other general paediatric issues.
In addition to working at Melton Health and Djerriwarrh Health services in Bacchus Marsh, Dr Mittal also holds positions at Werribee Mercy Hospital for Women. She has extensively worked in neonatology and paediatrics at The Royal Children's Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne. Other hospitals she has worked at include The Austin Hospital, and Sunshine Hospital.
She is fluent in 2 Indian languages, Hindi and Marathi.
As a mother of three young children, she knows the importance of good quality paediatric care and endeavours to provide the same level of care to her patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. Mittal is kept very busy by her young family and her love of cooking.
